Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book Accolade Musicians?

All we need is your contact info, event date and location, and ensemble of choice. We would then email you a contract. After signing and mailing this to us with a small deposit, you will be all set.

What are your prices?

Prices vary with the ensemble and event location. Please feel free to contact us with a quote.

What are my choices for ensembles and instruments?

Our core ensemble is the string quartet consisting of two violins, one viola, and one cello. The string trio has one violin, viola, and cello, and the duo has a violin and a cello. We are happy to add auxilliary instruments such as trumpet or piano. Our cello quartet (four cellos) provides a unique, darkly rich timbre. We also offer a jazz trio or quartet. Typically, both ensembles contain a piano and a bass. A singer, percussion, saxophone, or trumpet can be added to complete the ensemble.

What if I don't see a song I want played in your repertoire list?

The online repertoire list is only a sampling of our library, so definitely still ask us if we have your song. Even if we don't, we can order and learn it for your event.

When do the musicians arrive?

No later than 40 minutes before the ceremony start time.

Do you perform outdoors?

We do if the temperature is between 55 and 85 degrees and there is no sign of precipitation. We also ask that the instruments are not placed in direct sunlight.

What do the musicians wear?

Typically all black. The men can wear a tuxedo or a suit if your prefer.

Would the musicians be willing to play with a singer or an instrumentalist we provide, such as a family or friend?

Absolutely. There would just be a small charge for rehearsing with them. This can take place on the day of your event.
